Tides USA started manufacturing dripless propeller shaft seals over 20 years ago, with tens of thousands of products in use around the world fitted to commercial and pleasure craft.

To support overseas clients Tides Marine International Limited, based in Poole UK commenced operations in 2002 handling sales, technical backup and developed to become the main overseas distribution hub for Europe, Middle East and African markets.

Additional Tides Marine staffed sales offices have been opened working alongside a network of distributors and dealers:-

Tides Marine International originally only supplied Tides Marine US manufactured products to major boat builders in the UK and Europe.

Since 2005 additional boat builders have been added to our client portfolio along with many propulsion equipment manufactures now specifying Tides Marine shaft seals and rudder tubes as their preferred option. The re-fit and aftersales market has also been targeted to ensure service and spare parts are readily available.

To build on our existing client base, subsequent product lines have been added:-

An extensive dealer network has been established in our areas of operation for Tides Marine manufactured products along with the additional product lines noted above.

In 2009 Tides Marine International achieved ISO 9001 certification.

Brian Raine – Managing Director

Involved in the marine industry for over 30 years

Previously worked for a Marine Distributor, Boat Builder and a Propulsion Equipment Manufacturer before joining Tides Marine in 2004 as Sales Director and subsequently appointed as Managing Director in 2005.

Has overall responsibility for Italy, Poland, Spain and UK offices.

Ian Nuttall – Technical Sales Manager 

Ian has been involved in the marine industry since completing an engineering apprenticeship in the Merchant Navy which took him to many far flung places learning his trade.

His is responsible for the marketing, sales and product support team at Tides Marine International.

Andrew Wilson – Sales Administrator

Has been an enthusiastic boat owner for 35 years and joined Tides Marine in 2008 having spent time in sales, logistics and support service environments within other industries.

Andrew deals with telephone sales and the subsequent shipping functions to clients.

Andrew is also Quality Manager responsible for Tides Marine’s ISO 9001 certification.

Duncan Harris - Technical Sales

Duncan has been involved in the marine industry since leaving school and has developed his skills in customer service, workshop and sales areas , including time living and working in the Middle East.

He looks after general technical sales and is product specialist for Reverso Fuel Polishing and Oil Change systems.

Jo Palmer – Accounts Manager

Jo joined Tides Marine in the summer of 2012 bringing extensive book keeping experience and looks after all of our accounting functions ensuring that our suppliers receive prompt payment and our clients pay us in a timely fashion!!!!
